Gameplay

Wii Sports Resort is located on a seaside resort on an island called Woho Island, a more modern version of Wii Fit-powered island where you can practice twelve different sports.

Like the original, every game is played with a Wii remote and in some cases a Nunchuk, which is like playing a real game. For example, in the game of archery, the player holds the Wii remote vertically to hold the bow and pulls the anchor to wire the bow.

A new feature in Wii Sports Resort that makes it easier to control your games is Wii MotionPlus compatibility, which allows you to play games with greater accuracy. In Wii Sports Tennis, for example, all shots of a player are determined by the direction of rotation of the Wii remote, like a racket.

Wii Sports Resort offers a new variation, table tennis (previously featured on Wii Play), in which the player can better control the rotation of the ball by rotating the Wii remote while swinging. Required for all Wii Remotes
